History

The establishment of Iran International Exhibitions Company dates back to 1959, and after allocating the exhibition lands in the current location, in 1967, the construction of exhibition and office halls began, and in 1969, it held its first international exhibition under the name of Asian Exhibition for 21 days with the presence of 33 countries, and after that, the process of holding exhibitions developed appropriately and established Tehran as one of the most beautiful centers. An exhibition introduced the world to the world. In 1976, the company became a member of the Union of International Exhibitions (UFI) and the International Union of Exhibitions (BIE), which is responsible for organizing the World Expo.

Cooperating with the unions of international exhibitions, accepting their membership, participating in seminars and conferences, and forming such assemblies in compliance with the laws and regulations in Iran.

Displaying and introducing the achievements and products of industrial, mining, agriculture and technical and engineering commercial services of the Islamic Republic of Iran through the establishment and management of exhibition centers and booths inside and outside Iran

Partnering with natural and legal persons in matters related to the company’s duties, including current duties or establishing or participating in the establishment of permanent and temporary domestic and foreign exhibitions through investment.

Location and area of the exhibition

The permanent place of exhibitions is located in the north of Tehran, Chamran Highway, which is accessible from all highways. The total area of the exhibition is about 850,000 square meters, of which 120,000 square meters are indoor space and 35,000 square meters of open exhibition space, about 22 hectares of green space that has created a pleasant environment for participants and visitors, and about 21 hectares are access roads to the halls and exhibition grounds. Tehran International Exhibition has a mosque (Hazrat Ibrahim Mosque) with a special beauty and unique architecture in the area with an area of 1200 square meters and a minaret with a height of 70 meters.
